Series I, Appropriations, is divided into two subseries, Numerical and Alphabetical.

File plan:

A card index to China Medical Board records, Series 1.1: Appropriations – Numerical, and Series 1.2: Appropriations – Alphabetical is available for use.

Series 1.1 files are indicated by index numbers on the right edge of the index cards. For example, #64 = Church Missionary Society (London). The index cards are located in drawers 1-8 of the 72-drawer cabinet next to the RAC's reading room.

Series 1.2 files are indicated by the file's title (without an index number).

The CMB Appropriations Index cards are located in drawers 5-8 of the 72-drawer cabinet next to the RAC's reading room.

Parent restrictions:
Open for research. Brittle or damaged items are available at the discretion of RAC. Researchers interested in accessing digital media (floppy disks, CDs, DVDs, etc.) or audiovisual material (audio cassettes, VHS, etc.) in this collection must use an access surrogate. The original items may not be accessed because of preservation concerns. To request an access surrogate be made, or if you are unsure if there is an access surrogate, please contact an archivist.
Parent terms of access:
Rockefeller Foundation has title, copyright, and literary rights in the collection, in so far as it holds them. Rockefeller Archive Center has authority to grant permission to cite and publish archival material from the collection.
