Fellowship recorder cards, 1917-1970s

Extent:
10.06 Cubic Feet 23 card file boxes (long) (5x8)
Scope and content:

The Rockefeller Foundation fellowship recorder cards provide introductory access and basic summary information for each fellow and fellowship including but not limited to: name, country of origin, division authorizing the award, subject and discipline of fellowship. Medical sciences, nursing, agriculture (plants and animals), and public health comprise most of the disciplines involved but there are a few others. The recorder cards also document awards given by the General Education Board and the boards established by the Rockefeller Foundation including the International Education Board and China Medical Board. Information on the recorder cards was collected from the RF RG 10.1 Fellowship Files by RF administrative staff, and they are best used in conjunction with these files. Please note that not every fellow who has a file will necessarily have a recorder card and all recorder cards do not necessarily have corresponding files. Please look at both indices to verify if a fellow has both a file and a recorder card.
