People gather to celebrate Ward Melville's 50th year with the Melville Shoe Corporation. Reverend John P. Mitton of the Caroline Church of Brookhaven is introduced, speaks and gives the invocation. Robert C. Erb introduces Ward Melville and explains why they are gathered. The Board of Directors of the Meville Shoe Corp are in attendance: Frederick Attwood, Joel E. Fisher, Francis H. Gleason, David W. Herrmann, David B. Melville, Joseph L. Merrill, Spencer D. Oettinger, Stuart M. Paterson, Francis Rooney Jr., Murray M. Rosenberg, and J. Brent Wells. S. Sloan Colt gives a speech about Ward Melville's life and career. Ward Melville gives a speech and refeclts on his life and career.
