Bayard Urquhart Livingston, Jr. (1881-1962) was born to Bayard Urquhart and Margaret L. Morris Livingston in Albany, New York. Livingston was related to a number of prominent Albany families, including the Patterson, Morris, and Schuyler families, and collected genealogical material related to them. Livingston was buried in New Vernon Cemetery in Morris County, New Jersey. This collection contains correspondence, genealogical information, deeds, and wills. The bulk of the collection is from 1741-1800.

Scope and content:

The records include correspondence, genealogical records, wills, and deeds. The correspondence deals mostly with genealogy. Besides the Livingstons, there are genealogical records for other prominent local families. There is also an abundance of family wills and deeds in the Livingston family. There are also two copybooks, one from the Patterson family, and one from the Morris family.

Biographical / historical:

Bayard Urquhart Livingston, Jr. was born in August 1881 to Bayard Urquhart and Margaret L. Morris Livingston, in Albany, New York. His relations included many of the prominent families of Albany, including the Schuyler, Patterson, Ten Broeck, Van Rensselaer, and Morris families. Upon his death in 1962, Livingston was buried in New Vernon Cemetery in Morris County, New Jersey.
