Erastus Dow Palmer was an American neo-classical sculptor, who lived from 1917-1904. E.D. Palmer sculpted one medallion for Wells. Two of his better known pieces on campus, Morning and Evening, hang in Macmillan Hall by the Art Exhibit Room. Morgan Hall has another two medallions named Nancy and Charlotte. E.D. Palmer was a friend of Henry Wells and E.B. Morgan and spent many summers in Aurora.
