Biographical / historical:

Else Fleissner was Professor of German at Wells College from 1927-1969 and Emeritus Professor until 1987. Her husband, Otto Fleissner was Professor of German at Wells from 1926-1958 and Emeritus Professor until 1978. Both were also distinguished scholars with extensive publications.
