This collection contains scrapbooks, 1936-1998; photographs, 1997-1999; and miscellaneous material associated with the Rotary Anns of Chemung County, 1923-1995.

Biographical / historical:

The Rotary Anns of Chemung were established in January 1923 as the first Rotary auxiliary group in the world. The wives of 34 local Rotarians came together to establish a house for the care and rehabilitation of polio victims. They ran the Rotary Ann Reconstruction Home until 1937. Since then, they have primarily been involved in fundraisers for scholarships and other community needs.

Acquisition information:
The bulk of this collection was donated to the Booth Library by Joe Koczan in 2019 with some subsequent donations from other sources.

Access and use

Restrictions:

The Chemung County Historical Society's research library and archives are open to the public from 1pm to 5pm, Monday through Friday. There is a $5 fee for non-members.
