- Biographical / historical:

The Sanitary Barber Shop was opened by Charles Milazzo in 1910. Four generations of the family worked at the shop over the years including Charles, his sons Richard and Samuel, grandson Richard Jr., and great-grandson Craig. The shop had various downtown locations over the years before settling at 328 East Water Street in 1935. After the 1972 flood, the shop moved to the Eastowne Mall. As of 2021, the shop was located at 100 East Church Street.
