The Decker Family Papers include genealogical notes, photographs, and Abram Decker's autograph album.

Biographical / historical:

David Decker (1816-1890) operated a tannery in Wellsburg, N.Y., but lived at 302 W. Clinton Street in Elmira. He served at various points as a trustee of Genesee College and the Elmira Reformatory. He and his wife, Cordelia Schultz Decker (1821-1872) had one son, Abram I. Decker (1850-1932).

The items in this collection were donated to the Booth Library by Mary Ellen Kunst in 2019.

The Chemung County Historical Society's research library and archives are open to the public from 1pm to 5pm, Monday through Friday. There is a $5 fee for non-members.
