The Ganung Real Estate Collection contains photographs, write-ups, and other documents associated with properties sold by the Ganung Realty Company, 1936-1960.

Biographical / historical:

The real estate firm Charles I. Ganung & Co. was established in 1915 by Charles I. Ganung, Clyde A. Bitner, and Claude S. Wilson. In 1925, the firm became the Ganung Realty Company. The company primarily handled residential real estate in the greater Elmira area. It ceased operation in 1969.

Acquisition information:
The items in this collection were donated to the Booth Library by Donna Minix in 2017.

Restrictions:

The Chemung County Historical Society's research library and archives are open to the public from 1pm to 5pm, Monday through Friday. There is a $5 fee for non-members.
