The Delta Kappa Gamma Collection contains the scrapbooks of the Alpha Rho Chapter from 1951 to 2008.

Biographical / historical:

Delta Kappa Gamma was founded in 1929 in Texas by Dr. Anne Webb Blanton to further the position of women educators and to facilitate individual professional development. The first chapter in New York was formed in 1938. The Alpha Rho Chapter, covering Chemung County, split from the larger Southern Tier Chapter in 1960.

These items were donated to the collection in 2009 by Delta Kappa Gamma-Alpha Rho Chapter.

Restrictions:

The Chemung County Historical Society's research library and archives are open to the public from 1pm to 5pm, Monday through Friday. There is a $5 fee for non-members.
