Scope and content:

The Monday Mothers Club Collection includes the club's minutes from 1929 to 1986, annual programs from 1943 to 1962 and assorted papers from the 1980s.

Biographical / historical:

The Child's Conservation League, founded in 1922, was a women's club aimed at studying children to improve parenting. In 1925, the name of the organization was changed to the Monday Mothers Club. In 1926, the club joined the New York State Federation of Women's Clubs and began to not only study children's issues, but become involved in children-focused charities.

Acquisition information:
The items in this collection were donated to the Booth Library by Joanne Quick in 2012.

Restrictions:

The Chemung County Historical Society's research library and archives are open to the public from 1pm to 5pm, Monday through Friday. There is a $5 fee for non-members.
