Background
- Scope and content:
-
Three letters written during World War I relating to Horatio Robinson Storer and concerning medical medals. The first letter, written by Weber in London, dated December 6, 1915, and addressed to Storer in Germany, asks for a copy of a German journal that will need to go through Holland. The second letter, sent by Storer to Sidney Noe and dated January 2, 1916, refers to Frederick Parkes Weber needing help getting information on medical medals. The third letter is handwritten in French and sent by Edmund Gohl of the National Hungarian Museum to Alexander Savage. The letter most likely dates to either 1914 or 1919 and its contents concern Storer writing about Hungarian medical medals, asking whether ANS might want some books on Hungarian numismatic issues and giving a bibliography of suggestions.
