Scope and content:

Barry C. Smith served as General Director of the Commonwealth Fund, 1920-1947. During this period the reports were officially titled as Report of the General Director to the Directors of the Commonwealth Fund. Beginning in 1948, the offical title became known as Report of the President and Staff to Directors of the Commonwealth Fund.

Accession 1986:069, and several subsequent additions.
Processing information:

Standard archival processing was conducted by Robert Battaly, Assistant Director, Head of Processing, Rockefeller Archive Center in February 2014, and Richard Torres, Assistant Archivist, Rockefeller Archive Center in August 2014, to arrange and describe the material and enable access. Further archival processing, primarily to address the preservation and conservation needs of the records, will be conducted at a later date, as necessary.
