Scope and content:

The Asa and Charles Dutton Papers comprise materials relating to their time at Syracuse University. The collection includes Syracuse University Athletic Association tickets, correspondence, broadsides, coursework, Greek event invitations, and University publications. Of particular note are a cyanotype of Winchell Hall and a humorous instructional broadside for the freshman class of 1907. These materials document student life and campus activities and events in the early 1900s.

Biographical / historical:

Asa and Charles Dutton were brothers who attended Syracuse University between 1902 and 1909. They were both members of the Syracuse chapter of Psi Upsilon. Asa Dutton obtained a Bachelor of Philosophy in political economy in 1907, while Charles Dutton obtained a Bachelor of Arts in economics in 1909.

Alace Humphreville donated these papers to the University Archives in 1999.
