Scope and content:

The Helen Cohen Photographs consists of photographs taken by Helen Cohen of fellow Syracuse University students, buildings on campus, and special events and traditions. This includes Spring Weekend, Colgate Weekend, the Winter Carnival, fraternity and sorority parade floats, and the Archbold Gymnasium fire in 1947.

Biographical / historical:

Helen Cohen (1927-2016) was a student at Syracuse University in the mid to late 1940s. She graduated from the College of Business Administration in 1949, and was a member of the Phi Sigma Sigma sorority and worked on The Daily Orange.

Acquisition information:
Gift of Richard Ehrlich in 2023.
Processing information:

Photographs were put in mylar sleeves, and placed in an acid free folder and an acid free box.
