Scope and content:

The Robert J. Terpak Papers comprises materials related to various extracurricular and academic activities while he was a student at Syracuse University. The collection is divided into four series:

Papers includes the "Onondaga Indian Reservation" civil engineering senior class project proposal, materials related to the University's civil engineering program, and Syracuse University related papers collected during Terpak's freshman year.

Printed materials includes clippings, fliers and handouts for events on campus, programs related to the Goon Squad, and publications released by Syracuse University, such as orientation pamphlets and Alumni News publications.

Visual materials includes souvenir photographic slides, a photograph of Crouse College, stickers for the Syracuse University centennial celebration, and art prints of the University illustrated by Francis Sweeney.

Memorabilia includes a celebratory card for the Gator Bowl win in 1966, a series of buttons, a freshman beanie, and a Syracuse shirt.

Biographical / historical:

Robert J. Terpak (b. 1948) was a civil engineering student who graduated with a bachelor of science degree from Syracuse University in 1970. During his time at the University, he was a member of the Goon Squad, the Lambda Chi Alpha secretary, business manager of The Daily Orange, and a member of the Onondagan business staff.

All materials were placed in acid free folders and then placed in an acid free box. Buttons were placed in envelopes before being placed in acid free folders.

Materials are arranged alphabetically within their series.
