Gordon Spaulding was born in Saratoga Springs on September 14, 1910. He died at 92 on April 11, 2003. During the 1920s he was involved in solving a burglary case using fingerprint identification. This was the first time it had been used in Saratoga Springs. Spaulding was also a part of scouting, competitive swimming, and the U.S. Marines. In addition, he worked for the Ford Motor Company for many years.
