- Biographical / historical:

Seth Hill was born in Greenfield 16 August 1842. He served in the 153rd regiment, NY Infantry. Seth Hill was the son of Josiah Hill and Sally Carr Hill and had seven siblings. Seth married Olive Jane (Jennie) Hewitt Hill and had a son Edward. He died 30 May 1930 and is buried in the Greenfield Center Cemetery.
