Collection contains the office files Margaret Wilkerson created when she worked at the Ford Foundation, overseeing grant programming for arts, education, culture, and media. Materials in the collection carry though from when Wilkerson joined the Foundation as a Program Officer in the Education, Media, Arts, and Culture Program (EMAC), Media, Arts, and Culture unit (MAC), to her becoming Director of MAC, to the reorganization of the Foundation's arts and culture programming and installation of MAC in the Knowledge, Creativity, and Freedom Program (KCF) between 1998 and 2007. They primarily document Wilkerson's review and support of grantee organizations and her participation and leadership in MAC's and the larger Foundation's program strategy and initiatives.
